I'm going to remove bumper to install PIAA lights. Are there any tips on removing front bumper, like the little hooks under each headlight assembly? Are they as easy as pushing up and back to disengage?

I have the Helm manual, so I know where the bolts are.

Pull down at the corners and pull out. Don't be afraid of using too much force. I usually pop my bumper off in like 5 minutes. Done it like 10 times already to do some major stuff ! Good Luck and Latez!!!!

Thanks. So what have you done that you've had to remove the bumper so many times? Any pics?

Getting the bumper off once you've removed all of the bolts, including the two "hidden" bolts in the wheels wells, is easy.

The hard part is the leap of faith that you need to grab it and yank it until it pops off!

Sorry no pics my friend. I have cleared out my lights (no more amber plastic thingy and added Polarg hyper whites for the bulbs),cut the side ducting and the horizontal plastic things from the bumper out and custom made a grill for them both (Home Depot ), mounted a pair of Fiamm air horns on the left duct, and the hidden missles which are deployed from the right duct . Other than those, I've taken off my bumber to "correct" a few mistakes I've done to those mods (color of grill, alignment of headlight). Have fun and get dirty! Latez!

I've seen S2SaV's car and the mods he did himself were really good. he had to point out the "mistakes" he made. patience is really a good thing, for I think it took him hours and hours to do those mods. (but think of all the $'s he saved for bigger mods =) )
