Default Any tricks to installing an amuse style lip?

I pulled it off my old '01 where it was held on by four screws. I went to install it today since it had been painted and it looked like the last owner had just sorta jury rigged it. Is it supposed to use four of the screws that hold the actual bumper on right along the bottom? It looked like it, but I could not for the life of me get them to line up correctly. What am I doing wrong????

You need 4 cylindrical spacers of two different lengths. The long ones go on toward the sides of the car and the short ones are in the middle. You also need the corresponding longer bolts. You do not use the stock bolts. Without these, the lip will not sit at the proper height. You also have one screw on each end that screws the lip into the wheel well arch.

xviper is correct once again, without the proper hardware mounting the amuse lip is a PITA. All the lips we sell come with the mounting hardware to insure the customer has an easier install.

Hang tough. I'm going to go measure my spacers so you know what the dimension is. I've seen another owner use a bunch of washers on a longer bolt to do the same trick. I'll be right back.

The short ones in the 2 central locations are 7/8" and the long ones on the outer locations are 1-7/8". You can always get washers till you can find the proper cylinders.

As always, you rock!! Just one more question: What are the screw lengths and what type are they? What kind of screws go in the sides?

Take one of your stock bolts out and go to the bolt store with it for the proper thread. Just add those measurements I gave you for the spacer to the stock bolt length and you will have the correct length. So, you need washers that have a hole that the bolt can go through and the washer should be of adequate diameter to give good support but not be too large (I'm guessing about 3/4" across).
You'll need 2 screws (1 for each side). These are only about an inch long and can be of the sheet metal variety. If you can get black machine screws, it'll look nicer. The lip should already have a hole or a drill mark where the screw goes in. Drill out the wheel well before putting in the screw so you don't crack the plastic.
