Has anybody put heating systems in there seats? I'm thinking of doing it, since it get's pretty cold out here in montreal.

If yes how much should i be looking at? And is it bad for the seats leather?

I saw a kit on the discovery channel I think it was. It's a universal kit, but they were installing it on truck seats they were having cusom upholstered. They were just like little patches of heating mesh that you put under the upholstery. They come with everything you need to wire them up suposedly. They seemed easy enough to figure out if you are good at wiring stuff and don't mind having to redo the leather on your seats.

Yes. I just took delivery of my 03 Silverstone and as soon as the snow clears it is on it's way to get the seat heaters installed with the Hi / Lo lighted switch.

$500 for two seats.

500 is a bit much. the price should be ~125-200 a seat. you can probably get the miata seat heaters for about $130/ea. and make them so they work.

jerry peterson has some heaters in his car as well.

I plan on adding "butt warmers" to my S2000!!!
I had them in a previous car and loved them!
Do a search here and you should find more info. on them.

I'll see if I can beat the guy down on the price. It is a very reputable outfit and to me $500 seemed fair. But I have never purchased this aftermarket before.
