Man, Danville's going to be full of S2K's! I got the Red/Black last month. They told me somebody considered buying it but decided to wait for the '01 Silver. Was that you? Hope you get it soon; I don't think you'll be disappointed. Hope they resolve that seat belt thing soon.

I saw a black S2K coming into town on 86 a couple of days ago. Do you know who that is? We need to get a local group going. There's some nice mountain roads 50 miles west, and the S2K is awsome there.

John,

We should set up a drive for the local owners who might be interested. Caesar's Head, Asheville, etc. We're lucky down here to have nice weather almost year round.

Yes --- that was me! The red/black is awesome but it said ARREST ME all over it!

There is another red/black that lives in Sutherlin, Virginia, near VIR. Saw it one day when I was exercising my 1976 Triumph TR6 on some twisties. Stop, and talked with the owner. We went for a drive --- I drove --- it was great!

Can't wait to try the S2000 on VIR member track days.

I'm taking the Skip Barber Racing School at VIR at the end of November (Formula Dodge) so that I will know how to drive the S2000.

We need to get together.

Regards,

Bob Sexton

Danville area is the _best_ sports car roads in the world! The Virginia country roads do not even have painted lines --- just like back roads in England.

We make runs from Axton (US 58 West) to Mountain Vally and Snow Creek. Absolutely wonderful twisties --- very challenging and you don't have to be going 1000 mph to have fun --- the speed limit is usually tough to maintain on some of these roads.

We need to form a local S2000 group.

I have talked with VIR about track time and costs for a group. The big problem is the roll bar situation though.

Tommyg:

No I bought mine at Breakaway in Greenville. I wanted to buy in Greer but the sales manager was unreasonable. My Spa Yellow 2001 was also ordered in Greenville. I'll be selling my Silver/black (5300 miles) and it is in as new condition. I'll probably be asking around $32500 for it. Let me know guys if anyone you know is interested. It needs a good local home. The dealer has offered me $31000 for trade in. I just got home from Gatlinburg today. Averaged 28 mpg on the trip. The car is awesome in the mountain roads. I was the only S2000 I saw this weekend. The car still draws rave reviews. There are still many people who have never even seen one. Sexton VIR is awesome. My son and I got to take my S2000 around the long course during the SCCA National a few months back. Neal Sapp won the T2 race in his S2000 to top the weekend off!

tommyg,

I saw a white/red drive in the opposite direction right off of Haywood Mall around 11 am this morning. Both of the occupants waved and I waved back. I was in my red/black with the top down. Was that you?
