maybe a wrong mod caused that
possibly a fuel leak from an amature nitrous job.

Looks like the fiewall didn't work!?! no?

Also ... looks like the car has some crappy tires on, that must be the reason ... better tires = fire proof

it's amazing how the door and everything on the outside (except the hood) still looks one piece!

Odd placement for the start of the fire that's for sure. It appears to be over the airbox/intake elbow to the manifold. The hottest/ignition source is obviously over the big hole the fire burned through the aluminum hood but I don't see the airbox plastic providing that much fuel and heat. I'm not sure what in that area would cause such an insanely hot fire but damn....

How did a fire that looks like it started in front of the engine near the airbox suddenly leap into the cockpit leaving everything else untouched?!

I suspect foul play. Someone tossed something really hot on top of the hood and into the driver's seat.

This car belonged to a member named Johnny Tran. Apparantly it was the victim of revenge-inspired valdalism after his crew shot up a 10-speed eclipse. Rumour has it he had over 100 grand under the hood too!

Am I correct in thinking that my clear bra would have protected my S from that meteorite? I've got the 3M one.

Passenger side wheels and rear driver's side wheel might be salvagable...
