Anyone else over 100K miles?
So for (my own) records...cuz while it's a lot of miles, it ain't the most...The Bruised Banana's original motor carried me through over 290K miles, before giving up the ghost. This past Saturday, July 12, 2014, I installed a beautifully performing JDM AP1 donor motor & it's tranny, weighing in at a low, low 35K minty-fresh miles. 230PSI on all cylinders. So bitter sweetly I must announce that, while The Bruised Banana will continue to press on mileage-wise, it's original motor never quite made it to 300,000 miles. Still, I'm a happy guy and I enjoy this car as much today as the November 2001 night I purchased it from CarMax...and didn't come home until I'd driven through the 250 miles no-questions-asked return policy. I promised myself I was never going to let this yellow convertible go. And I never did!

a true inspiration Dave!
My daughter's 2006 just rolled over 135K. She has driven it since new. Replaced one wheel bearing, clutch, clutch master cylinder, water pump and convertible top. Will be replacing the shocks and struts with konis next week. Been a very good car for over 8 years.
