I bought mine on Memorial Day because I sold my daily driver after six months of trying... wasn't too much choice involved.

What color would you get right now? Remember, the color combos have changed many times already. I'd be in a GPW right now, except they stopped offering GPW with black interrior. For all you know, there will be no new colors next year... AND your combo will be gone.

It's now the middle of July. I think the lack of news thus far would imply the 06 is going to be largely unchanged (if offered at all).

The price situation is a bit funny. You are going to pay $30k for a 2005, regardless of when you buy it. I can't picture them ever going lower than the $29,500 deals we've seen, and you can get $30,500 at any dealer you want. However, if there are any significant changes to the 2006, I can see them going for a bit higher. You aren't saving anything by waiting... and might cost yourself something.

Just my $.02

To be honest I wasn't holding out for a good price of the 05 but rather I really want a new model year. I have no problem giving Honda $1k more for the 06. I will recoup that 5-6 years down the road IF I decided to sell it(-VS- selling an 05).

According to TOV 06 will get refreshed wheels, headrest speakers and a useless thermometer. Im assuming if this is correct Honda will jack up the price a little bit.

I'm waiting for the annual "My dealer said 06 is final production year" thread to pop up.

i was in the same boat, WAITING and dying a little everytime i would see an S whiz by. but like someone of you have said, the changes couldn't be too much and thankx to KitWetzler, his seat heaters were too good to pass up. If the 06 has seat heaters, then jump on it. otherwise, 04 it, imo.

I'll probably get an 06 come next June, just because itl probably be the final model year of the beloved S. Though trading in my '03 would be kinda hard, itd be cool to own the last model year; plus I just like new cars... the smells, the way everything is so tight...

If there are changes to my liking I might consider moving up to a 06 from my 02.

They never offered this combo in the US market.

2000 - 2001 GPW with red/black interior

2002 - GPW with all red interior

2003 - current - GPW with tan/black interior
