Default Anyone ever seen.....

We have had several threads about gas mileage lately. I thought I would ask another question -

Has anyone ever seen 400 miles in a single take of fuel?

I am not sure if it is possible, but curious if anyone has ever achieved this.

I would guess if anyone has done it, it would be one of the people who drove cross country.

I've done 29mpg going from the monterey bay to socal. One passenger, top up, tires slightly overinflated to 35psi, AC at 1 click and cruise control practically the entire way. Over the entire trip speeds ranged from from 65 to 85.

Yeah cruise control uses the least amount of fuel possible to get to that speed where as your foot is sometimes giving more gas when needed to get that speed. When I had my vafc in my integra and I use my foot on the vafc it would tell me throttle this many % but when I use my vafc it's a stable % to get the speed I wanted. So use cruise control if your going long distances not in the rain.

I got 30 MPG one trip.

Traveled 360 KM (223 Miles) on 29 Litres (7.5 US Gallons).

Top up no AC me and a passenger. Did the speed limit whicb is 110 Km/h (68 MPH) except thru one portion of the trip where it was 80 km/h (50MPH). Cruise and 6th gear when possible all highway.

So it is possible with this car.

Most i ever got was 33 mpg on the OEM tires inflated at 35 psi for a highway trip. Technically, if I ran the car bone dry, that would be 400+ miles, but I refilled at ~330 - 10 gal so I had just over 3 gal left...
