I really like the idea of the headrest speakers available for the 04s. Does anyone have them yet? If so how well do they work? In Canada this is a $1000 option, do you think they are worth it? The stock audio system in my 02 just doesn't produce enough sound up where my ears are, does this solve the problem?

You may want to check the electronics forum. Also, Lucid posted a thread about them not too long ago, try a search.

How do the speaker-headrests perform as headrests? Are they comfortable and supportive during driving?

If you look at the pics on the Honda site, you'll notice that they mount behind the hole in the headrest, in front of the roll hoop.

I thought about using them, but I have Rick's headrests and they would just blast into the back of the headrests...

I have Lucid's rear panel speakers and I like them a lot. They really add more to the stock stereo.

For $500 there are better options IMHO.
