Default Anyone have an RM Racing front spoiler?

Are you happy with it? Notice any aero benefits?

The words "flexible plastic" in the product description worry me, will this thing fold over on itself at 100+ mph?

Thanks...

No but the first curb you hit, it will shatter. It's really an effective splitter for the track but I don't know if I'd run it on the street. If you're lowered at all, fuggedaboudit.

I'm at stock ride height, and will remain so. Still a bad idea on the street? I don't hit curbs, but can the spoiler take an occasional scrape on a driveway?

Thanks.

it drops the front clearance by about 1 1/2 inches if memory serves correctly. It's made of a hard ABS type plastic and to my mind it would not withstand any sort of "head on" impact at all. It might survive being scraped from underneath but I'm not sure how many times you could get away with that.

Try searching the board for real life examples. I'm sure there are plenty, that piece has been around for a long time.

i had it a loooong time ago.. it lasted about 2 months then it literally exploded on a frigid day when i was pulling out of a parking lot. it was pretty cool while it lasted though. at fall colors 02, they nicknamed my car the snowplow because of the way it'd pick up any sort of debris (rocks, sand, leaves, tree limbs, small woodland creatures, etc).

there's another pic somewhere of my car in front of a house that i cant seem to find.. i have seen it floating around the net though.. perhaps someone'll post it.

nope, i was lowered about 1.5" at the time.

theres another aspect of the spoiler that disappointed me. the minute it gets hit (if it doesnt crack), the lip portion of the spoiler warps and gets bent out of shape.

some people have painted theirs, but since it's thin plastic, the moment it gets hit, the paint will chip and crack.
