I too live in Maryland -- Frederick -- snowland! I have Toyo Observes on my S and I got to say that they are great! I blasted through everything during last week's snow storm. No problem. All you gotta do is remember that you're driving in the snow (grew up in the snowbelt outside of Cleveland Ohio). I'd recommend them to anyone. I got them used (1 month) from a guy in Montreal who is a member of this forum. And, while they aren't s02's, they are pretty good in the dry and the rain. I'll NEVER have s02's again. EVER.

I've been running the Dunlop SP Winter Sport M2's in the OEM sizes and they are pretty good in the dry, wet and snow. I've had them on the car for three weeks, now.

Blizzak WS-50's here. Excellent tire for extreme winter conditions, feels like you are driving on jello the rest of the time. Just what I was looking for!

What sizes did you buy? My MZ-01 tires are in the stock size

Are you sure they are the exact stock sizes. I've recommended these to a few owners but discovered that they don't have the WS-50 in our stock sizes. Here is Bridgestone's table of sizes for this tire:

Bloody Hell! These Bozos here in Calgary either won't or can't bring them in.
(I wonder why the Bridgestone site doesn't list them?)

When I checked for tires they had the WS50s in our sizes. I had to specifically ask for the LM22s or they would have given me the WS50s
