Does anyone recognize the seats? Cloth in an OEM car?

 

By the look of the passenger seat it appears to be seat covers

Those look like Sparco knockoffs. Maybe the previous owner was a fatty and needed wider seats. They are NOT oem.

Or top got slashed and seats stolen. They took the check, bought the hardtop and cheap seats.

 

I would be afraid of that car. because of the non OME seats and no top it will never be a sought after car!

 

Bah, I didn't even read the description.

Doesn't come with a soft top and has "Recaro" seats. Definitely had the top slashed at the dealership (since it's never been titled) and had the seats stolen. I wouldn't touch it.

lmao, those are like 200 dollar ebay seats

 

never titled and it has that many miles, means its been driving harshly by many people. Vtec was probably hit many times and it doesn't even have 600 miles on it.

In performing due diligence on the HT car, I checked VIN with honda dealer to learn who the original selling dealer was. Car was still listed against inventory at Willet honda in Atlanta. I talked with the New Car Manager at Willet. They did seat switch to two identical black 08s. One had soft top removed and HT added; both had OEM seats removed and replaced with cheapo knockoffs. Manger said he regretted the dumb idea. Coudln't sell the cars. Think they sold the seats to owners that had their OEM seats stolen. Second car with 1903mi is offered at Lucky Motors in Addison, IL...currently offered on AutoTrader at $26,889. OEM seats cost well over $5000 to build up. Both cars were wholesaled through Manhiem Auction - Atlanta. Check AutoTrader for 08 Black with 3005 miles in North KC, MO. Owner is James (works weird hours); priced at $26500; then, 26900 now back to 26400. Has extended warranty. I drove it, nice car. Swirl marks in black paint. Otherwise perfect. Decided against it....life too short to keep black looking good; black conceals subtle contours of S2000. Bought 08 Chicane with 2400mi.....really rich, tasteful looking; shows subtle contours well and will look clean even when slightly dirty. Also, drove 08 black CR in Bartlesville, OK with 4700mi. Owner is squirrely. One rear tire mis-mached brand; uncured paint on front bumper; other imperfections; anticipate car has been "ridden hard and put away wet". After making appointment with owner the day before, drove 400mi one way to see car and only got to talk with owner about 2 minutes; he tried to re-schedule as I was trying to find his shop in town....what a DF. But, he left car for me to drive by myself.....guarantee she has been ridden hard and put away wet at least once.....
