Default Anyone tried methanol injection on NA S?

I was just thinking, has anyone ever tried methanol injection on your NA S2k? AEM has a pretty nice setup which is fairly priced. Would this setup make any difference on a NA setup? Any gains? That would be interesting.

Methanol is not used on NA engines.

Yeah, alcohol injection is typically used in FI applications. There wouldnt really be a way to do this in an NA application.

you could use meth injection on n/a, just have to return and up the afr more lean, since it's practically the same effect as running race gas.

meth is just cooling the air that goes into your engine, that's all that is.

i can't see why you can't use meth in an N/A application.

well you can, but I dont see much benefit.

I used meth injection on my Grand Prix GTP (supercharged) so I have some experience with it.

The alcohol does a few things. It lowers intake temps and boosts the effective octane due to the alcohol being added to the fuel mixture.

I guess if you ran a leaner AFR and/or ran your compression ratio up on an NA application you could get some benefits. But that said, I think it would be hard to get any real noticable gains and you'd have to be spraying all the time. Since the typical source for methanol is from window washer fluid, you are also ingesting extra water and blue dye. Some Grand Prix guys had blue tinted cylinder walls after spraying a while. Not sure if it was good bad or otherwise, but just some food for thought.
