Anyway to make sure I get a GOOD used S2000?
I will probably get a S2000 now depending on what college I go to. My parents keep changing their mind on whether they will help me with cost increase or not but as of yesterday they said they would hence project S2000 is a go
. Anyway, I will get a used one to make the difference between my type R and the S2000 as low as possible. How do I make sure to get one with the least amount of wear and tear and for the best price? Any tips are appreciated.

Although most don't trust dealers, there is much to be gained with a Honda Certified Car. I know that I paid a little more but, I now have a 48,000 mile / 4yr from in service date warranty, with a 100,000 / 7yr mechanical warranty. Something to think about.
Do whatever it takes to avoid this from happening to you...

If I had to get a used one, I think I would probably look for one from someone on this board. Most owners here know about the car and have looked after them. That doesn't mean that some are not used hard, ie raced, high rpm clutch drop etc. But at least you know what has happened the car...ie you won't get a crashed one.

There has been a history of low mileage S2000's being available. Look for one that appears to have been bought by a 50 year old women who just wanted a convertible, not a sports car. Possible signs of an S2000 that has never seen VTEC:
-- No dead pedal, x-brace, stb, aftermarket radiator cap, or other cheap, simple mods
-- No Muz products
-- Scratches or crease in rear window (didn't know about using a tube to protect it)
-- Stock head unit, stock speakers
-- Oil level more than 4 'x' from full (we all know about possible cylinder problems)
-- Jiffy Lube (or other cheap oil change joint) sticker on the windshield
-- Walmart tires (some models of major tire brands are only available at Walmart)
-- Very high air pressures in tires (>40psi), means that a mechanic put in too much air and the owner didn't notice a difference in handling
That's all I can think of at the moment. I would look for cars which haven't been well-maintained out of ignorance, which eliminates cars driven by enthusiasts...however, since the car hasn't been well-maintained, you might have to fix some things.

I'm thinking about selling mine and it IS in mint condition and has NOT been raced and/or abused. It also comes with a 100,000 mile warranty (does require a $100 transfer fee). If interested, PM me for details.
Thanks guys. Unfortunately, I'm still a couple months away from being able to buy one because I need to fix my ITR ( it was vandalized
) and then I need to sell it and get all the little details cleaned up before I get an S2K. If I were looking for one immediately, bob and S2k guy ,you guys certainly have exactly what I'm looking for! I would really like a yellow S2000. If I were getting a 2002 suzuka blue would be at the top because I like the blue interior but for a 2001, I'm looking for yellow, white, silver, and black in that order.
I thought about keeping away from dealer cars though. They tend to cost more and all of the S2000 I see for sale still have under 25000 miles which means there warrentied anyway. Here are the ones listed in the Atlanta Journal Constitution right now.
