Default Anyway to mount a mobile phone ?

Need to be able to see the screen while using Google Maps. My suction device doesn't work becuse the screen is slightly curved. The type of mount that clips onto the vents is great. The only problem is that I've got hands on the ends of my arms.

Any clever solutions out there?

Sure do. I bought this Arkon phone holder, flexible stalk (aluminum bar inside cover) that mounts to one of the front seat bolts. Just slides under, no need to replace OEM bolt at all. Easy to use phone holder and the double T slots allow for other things besides phones and iPads. I came up with a drink holder modified from a boat holder so your drink never spills. Does not bother pax and it is easily removed without damage to anything.

I liked it so much I put it in three other of my cars.

Ram suction cup mount all day long. there is an adjustable X mount that allows for variable shaped phones/GPS' to fit.

What part of the windscreen do you mount it on because the concept looks very similar to one I tried and which wouldn't stick because the screen was curved slightly.

How easy is it to get the trim off to fix it ? Also I wonder if there have been any subtle design changes over the years as my S2000 is 1999 vintage.
Do you have a link to the Peak Design mount that you use as there are loads on their website.

TIA

If you use the phone for nav it still is fine for short term stuff. (Make a right on Main Street, etc)

However, for serious road nav I have a TomTom that suctions to the windscreen at the bottom. Plugs into the receptacle under the secret compartment. I prefer the big screen of TomTom for nav as it is designed for that and as features Google does not have. In addition, I use it for Europe so it is easy to see and keeps the rental price down with your own nav. Plus, I go to a lot off places off the grid and the GPS receiver in the TomTom means maps are already preloaded and ready to go, mobile service be dammed.
