AP1 almost bought the farm. . .
So, it was a beautiful day outside, and I thought it would be nice to get the car out and take it for a spin. Unfortunately, since we were under a winter storm watch last night, the county decided to put pea gravel out on the roads, just in case. Well, I hit some of that pea, which sent my car spinning out of control and down a dirt embankment! Luckily, the car was fine and I was able to drive it back onto the road and then back home. The alignment feels a little off, but other than that, and a shit load of mud, the car seems fine.

Yeah, it's good you don't. It was a weird situation because the rest of the road was completely clean. I'm just glad it happened in area with a lot of open pasture, and not the atypical forested road I'm usually on.

Good lord pea gravel would be a menace for any vehicle, where do you live for them to be using that stuff ?. As much as I hate sand and salt that is used in my parts I thank God it's not pea gravel, besides making the vehicle unstable you must get terrible stone chips.
In the mountains of North Georgia. They don't have salt here for the winter (I guess that's good for vehicle longevity) so they instead use a mixture of tiny rocks and some sand; pea gravel may not be the correct term, but you get the idea. It's horrible stuff, and the worst part is they don't sweep the roads, so whatever they put down ends up staying until the rain washes it away, if it washes it away. I've already replaced the windshield on my 2011 Land Rover, and have two chips in the S2000's windshield from stones being flung by other vehicles into my cars.
