Default from ap1 to ap2

I currently own an ap1 01

lately i saw a couple of ap2's for sale

thinkin about trading in my ap1 for an ap2

but not too sure about it

has anyone here went thru this before? or thought about it?

i think cost is anywhere from like 8k-10k almost

since my ap1 01 is like 16-17k and ap2 is around 24k-25k

I just sold my 2001 Berlina Black yesterday and bought a brand new 2007 Silverstone. I still have to break the car in, however i can tell the low end power is far improved, the ride is more forgiving but the cornering is still phenominal. Glass window is nice as well and the few minor tweaks here and there really compliment the entire package. I could not be more happy. Only complaint is the civic like effort clutch pedal. But i already have grown use to this.

I went from MY02 to MY06 and am also extremely pleased. I never looked back, and why would I? The car is improved in every way. Alot of people cry about the redline being lower, but you would get over that quickly. Do you have a party everytime your engine spins to 9k? I didn't, although the sound was awesome.
Like the above poster said- the improved power down low is worth the trade off. Not just down low, but the increase in power throughout the whole band is great. Newer and better features are cool, and the AP2 look is more aggressive to me.
Would I go back- not unless I could have both at the same time. AP2 is a great successor to AP1.

I have also gone from a MY00 to an MY05. The improvements in the 05: glass window, more torque, cleaner, softer.. and not to mention the better looks. The only thing I miss the is 9k, but really... I can live without it.

Bought an AP2 a while back to replace my AP1. Didin't like it as much, so ended up selling the AP2 and kept the AP1. If I had to replace my S2000, I'd just get a 2003 model.

I drove both cars back to back at the local honda dealership. They were both used and broken in so I got to drive them pretty hard.
I drove the (02) AP1 before driving the (04) ap2. The interior didn't seem like much of a difference, besides the much better speakers and console layout, I really didn't have a preference in that aspect.
The biggest difference was in the drive itself. I definitely noticed the improved low end on the AP2 but it didn't feel any faster. Also after the AP1 I found myself bumping the rev limiter in the AP2.

I would have loved to have gotten a glass rear window but it wasn't a deal breaker as I drive with the top down 99% of the time.

Sounds like AP2 is better. But it isn't $10K better, is it?

$10,000 is A LOT of mods my friend.
