ehh, once you go FI, you stop caring which is faster

Seriously though, while I am not normally the type to go out of my way just to tell everybody that the AP1 is superior to AP2 (which I don't believe at all btw... both cars have their strengths and weaknesses), I have taken the bait from AP2 owners and responded to some of their comments in kind a few times. "Giving what I'm getting" so to speak. But wisconsin is right, the whole argument is really freakin old around these parts. I'm going to go back to shuttin the hell up when the topic comes up.

What is AP1 or AP2 short for? Is it just a model year abbreviation?
it's the chassis code. if you look at the vin, the numbers will start with either

JHMAP1

or

JHMAP2

I totally agree... We all own s2000's, its a special car and we should all be happy to have one. We need to stick together and fight off all the z's and srt owners...

Best Motoring should do a back to back comparison just for the sake of these posts hehe ...

like they did with the 98 versus 96 TypeRs (well, that one was easier I suppose)

Guys the AP3 is the fastest. The 2006 is now called the ap3. 3 liter inline 6 with 360HP!! There now we have combined all the worst possible combintations of the ap1 vs ap2 and MY06 threads together.

We are lucky enough to get all the AP2 changes except for the engine, we still get the F20C2 9000rpmmer But I would like to drive a 2.2 version to feel the engine/torque differences... But, we all have the magnificent S, no matter what!
