Default ap1 and ap2 rack and pinion question

i have a ap1, will a ap2 rack and pinion fit my car.

I have no idea but I would think it would. Are you considering doing this? If so, why? If you don't mind my asking!

The AP2's steering ratio is a "little" slower than the AP1's but that was supposedly to help even out certain other changes that Honda made to the AP2 relative to the AP1.

Just wondering!

If it's true, it'll be the "first" time I've seen anyone do anything to an S2000 to slow it down?

like more lock to lock...
or its stiffer?

Based on the fact that the end of the rack are the same part number, it should fit just fine.

My understanding is that it's geared down a little so, probably a little more lock to lock. It's not a big deal in normal driving. The articles that came out when the first AP2's hit the market said that it was noticable on a series of tight switchback type turns.

I'm still curious as to why you're asking?

I can see why, my ap1 steering is really really sensitive, doesnt take much movement to turn the car.
