ap1 ecu in ap2 issues
Every couple weeks, the ecu will get a CEL saying too lean and it has to be reset by the dealer.
The engine also stalls out due to lack of gas sometimes when warming up, but acts perfectly fine when warm.
any ideas anyone might have would be great.

what year ap1 ecu do u have? the early ones i think like 01 and earlier run richer than other ap1 ecus. therefore, those are more ideal for the 2.2 ecu swap because the more gas will kind of compensate for the increased displacement. so if you have a 02 or 03 i'm pretty sure thats your problem
thanks, good thoughts, but i used a my00 so it wouldn't be so lean.
the really interesting thing is that with the my00 ecu, the car sips gas and i get seriously great millege. but after the CEL comes on, the injectors go full out and the gas gauge falls like a rock.

hmm.. full out injectors doesnt sound that bad =] just get a tp and you can have a bbq at the back of ur car =P
The TP BBQ idea didn't help solve your problem? Some people are just difficult...

Question: what other mods do you have?
I have an AEM v1, a test pipe, and an 00-01 ECU, and I never get any CELs.
I too sometimes get a stall if the car is cold when I first crank it up. Sometimes its just a stumble and it doesn't stall, but sometimes it does. Usually I just blip the gas and all is good.
I need to throw my logger back on the car and see what my fuel trims are like with the 00-01 ecu. If the trims are way off because of the ECU trying to compensate for the difference in flow between the AP1 and AP2 engine then an AFPR might be the solution for scaling the injectors properly so that under idle conditions the car is getting to correct amount of fuel without the ECU having to trim it.
