Default AP1 S2000 Cam Sensor with worn groove.

Hello,

After driving a S2000 last year and loving it, I purchased one last month that needs some work.

It’s a single owner, yr2000 with clean title. It was a no crank, no start. Turns out it was the clutch safety switch (now bypassed). Now it cranks, but still no start. Code thrown was for Cam Sensor B (passenger side). When I pulled the Sensor it had a physically worn groove in the center of it.

Does anyone have suggestions of what this might be? Planning to pull the valve cover this weekend for a better look.

Thank you in advance for any/all help.

Wrong part number? Or the wrong trigger wheel?

Default Cam Caps Broken!

Cam cap 5 broken. That was the reason sensor was worn.

Sure was! Thank you for the input. Any suggestions from here? Full set of the cam caps? Anything else I should do/look for while I’m at it?

oil pump will prolly be shagged, cut oil filter open and dare say it need strip down and rebuild due to alloy everywhere in oil ways inc crank ect a grim sight.
Problem is finding a shop to do this with good results....
