I might be selling my car, and the potential buyer wants the stock suspension on the car. I need top hats, since I used the ones from my stock suspension for my coil overs. A local member is selling some AP1 top hats, and I just want to make sure they would be compatible with my OEM AP2 suspension. I'm assuming it would be fine. Thanks for any help!

 

wtf is a top hat? You talking about a PBM?

 

i dont know if they will work forsure, but i would imagine they would since the actual damper shape didnt change from ap1 to ap2

 

It's the top section of the OEM suspension.

I'm not sure to tell you the truth. I've always heard them referred to as "top hats" , I removed pretty much every component on the top of the springs to use on my coil overs. I'm almost positive they will work, but just want to be 100% sure before I drive 30 minutes and pay for them. Anyone?

 

I have sucessfully used secondhand AP1 tophats on my AP2. The tophats didn't change.
