Just went to a dyno meet down in the Bay Area, and stock '05 pulled 197whp (not sure on tq). For comparison, my AP1 pulled 198whp/138wtq w/ Intake / Test Pipe.

The numbers were all low, it's the differential that you're looking at here.

I had a dyno done in September of this year of my 2005. I put down 214.6hp and 155.7ft/lbs to the wheels. The Ap1's that were dynoing in the same day where in the 190's for hp.

As I recall, the AP2's where putting down more to the ground in most of the tests that were posted on this site. Some weird occasions though, they were even.

Oh, and it was completely stock except for an injen CAI. I think max gains with that would be no more than 3hp anyway.

it all really comes down to the TYPE of dyno i guess....i dyno'd on a mustang dyno. i now i have "heard" the mustang dynos underrate. of course people will say the opposite. anywho....i just keep hearing that AP2's put 5-10 more at the wheels. now having said that i raced an AP2 the other day, he had an intake, and i pulled on him. i had half my car on him. in other words, my rear wheels were at his front wheels.

In the end, it won't matter in a race or anything about the HP difference between the models b/c the gearing and the redline in the AP1's and AP2's are what make the difference. It's 6 of one, half a dozen of the other when it comes to which one is faster (btw, let's pretend we didn't even bring that up b/c this thread will take a bad turn )

Yes, they make more midrange and peak power throughout the powerband, and put down more torque. The engine is a 2.2, it should make more than a 2.0.

I dyno'd at 200.1 whp & 144 ft./lb torque with just an AEM CAI. I was at the same dyno day as 530s2k and yah, pretty much the AP2's were making between 197 & 200 stock when the AP1's were making 186-190 stock. Many were saying that the dynojet was reading about 5% lower than other dynos they've been on, so Cyclon36's #'s may be accurate to what it could/should have been?

The bottom line is that he's right again by saying that in a race, this horsepower difference is negligible, as I've gone against many AP1's where it's literally dead even.
