Default AP2 Center Console question

I bought a used AP2 center console and I can't get the center divider to stay up. I didn't mind it at first, but after having it for a few months, I'd like to have it up for drinks and stuff. The seller made it fully aware that it didn't stay up, and again it's not a big deal but I would like to fix it. Anyone know how, or have any suggestions? Thanks.

are you talking about the star trek type door that slides back? or the dividing part?

Here is the divider:

One that diagram I think it is part #6

you may have to purchase a new one

Yes, the divider. The door is fine.

I thought that the divider didn't work well, so I purchased the optional ash tray and installed it. I keep coins in the ash tray and can put a drink or a cell phone in the other half.

I never use mine ... a cup or a can with a koozie is enough too wide that it won't fit with the tab up. I don't often keep an open can without a koozie on it ... warms up too fast and the condensation makes a mess in the bottom of the compartment.
