I have to order new headlights from Honda under an insurance claim. I am getting the AP2 version, but don't know what year would be the best for my 2002 AP1. I believe that the housing fitment is the same, I just don't know if one year is better looking and prefered over another. Comparison between 2004-2007 front headlight housings.

might wtb: ap2 ballasts/ignitors/etc. for my upgrade ... or will just make the original ap1 connections fit

all ap2 model headlights look 100% same.

 

doesn't matter what year the headlight housings are, just make sure you either modify the housing to fit the MY00 allasts, or do what I did and buy the adaption kit from hadtopguy for a smooth installation

 

2005 housings ordered and will be in for me tomorrow...would have had to wait 3 weeks for the 06/07 housings

gotta get the car ready for the west coast meet first week of July

So the AP2 housing can be modified to fit AP1 ballasts, igniters, etc.?? All AP1ers need to do is purchase the housing?

 

I just purchased new AP2 ballasts/ignitors/wire to keep things simple. Plug and play.

 

Just don't get the S2000 CR headlights! I think they are made of recycled rice! LOL
