Bruceleeroy, my friend, you just opened a can of worms.
Christmas Eve is not a good time to start,a battle beetween AP-1,ans AP-2 owners.
In this day,I'd rather wish,to all my fellows "S 2000" lovers,a very MERRY CHRISTMAS,and enjoy your sports cars for what they are.!!!

I saw a red s2000 in the 'wired news' mag today and it states the s2000 has 237hp? is this true?
Its the new SAE HP rating. All Hondas have "lost" horsepower on paper but its really just a new way of measuring horsepower.

So in reality, the horsepower is the same, just a new way of measuring it.

Kind of like saying 1 kilometer is different than 1 mile.

who cares about this ap1 ap2 crap. There is almost no major diffrence! What just because you feel the interior is roomier? You could say the same about a lot of other cars, and trust me, they will not take too kindly to comments like that...... trust me the s2000 is a TRUE sports car and so are many others out there that compete with the S. 350z, Corvette, Porshe, Ferrari. There comfterable and have navigation systems... what there not sports cars now? What you are asking for is a RACE car. Well then go rip out all your interior take off the convertable top and put a CF hardtop with a single exhuast system and go take it to the autocross and race some guys.

OMG! I got seat heaters installed in my S2K a couple of weeks ago. I estimate that they added about a pound to the weight of the car although the difference is too small to measure after the installation. The heated seats are really comfortable on those cold mornings, but now I discover that making my S more comfortable disqualifies her as a sportscar. If I rip out the seat heaters, add some oversteer, make the ride a little harsher reduce the torque a little and add 800 RPM to the tachometer, can I reclaim the sportscar title for my baby? The truth is, I like all of the S2Ks and appreciate the subtle differences that exist between different models/years.
