I had got a apex vtech controller installed on my s-2000 but I got a problem that everytime I stay near the v-tech engagement rpm for a few seconds(5500-6000rpm). The engine trobule light goes on and the computer cut out v-tech and I can't go over 5800rpm unless I switch off the car and start it again.
I can duplicate this problems everytime I try and the tuner who installed my controller has installed 100's of them but hadn't encounter this problems before.
At last I told them to disconnect the wire that control the v-tech engagement from the apex one and using back the control from the car's ecu. Then the problems dissapear and now I can't change the v-tech rpm from the controller but any other function works well. I can change the amount of fuels that put into the engine in different rpm.

Anybody had installed a vtech controller and had you guys had this problems, too?
Please enlighten me!
Otherwise the controller is great!

I had tried the setting for vtech
1.(on 5800rpm) (off 5300rpm)
2.(on 5400rpm) (off 5000rpm)
3.(on 5900rpm) (off 5300rpm)
The stock ECU switch on Vtech at 5850rpm.
the off point is not known for the stock one.
But every setting of the vtech controller yield the same problems.
Not matter there is fuel enrichment setting or not.
Thanks for your responese.
