Default APEXi AFC Neo Recommended?

I'm wondering if this model is beneficial to the s2000. How much tuning can be done in regards to improving gas mileage, etc? Is the installation process complex, or is it connected to a single (or few) leads?

there is a "frog harness" that makes it a plug n play i believe. atleast there was for the vafc II. usually something you would want your tuner/shop to install for you unless your pretty confident your not going to mess it up.

side note: if you ask billman or some of the other gurus on the boards they don't recomend these units (at least didnt when I was doing my research)

but...i am a newb so take what i say with a grain of salt.

you can also post this in the NA tuning forum and see if you get anymore info

There is a harness for the NEO:

King sells them

I have heard people getting good numbers out of these. The only problem is the car's ecu will learn the partial throttle settings and negate them.
Only the WOT settings will stay in effect.

Can you link me to this or let me know why? I highly respect Billman's opinion and have been thinking about getting a Neo.

You can definitely see some gains from adjusting AFR on the AP1. How much are going to pay for the NEO...they are new and from what I recall, fairly pricey. Consider paying a bit more and going for a Greddy E-manage Ultimate (only the Ultimate). That will give your tuner a bit more flexibility to adjust timing as well. There is some more hp to be had by tweaking the timing...one of the reasons that the AEM EMS has such good gains.
