Default Apex'i Super Grounding Kit

I came across this and I was wondering is it worth it? Below is all the info from the site. Does anyone have it or have a grounding kit?

Apex'i Super Grounding Kit - Universal
Super Grounding Kit - Universal
Developed using innovative new concepts, the new A'PEX Super Grounding System stabilizes electrical noise and voltage spikes. The Super Ground System maximizes electrical component efficiency by combining an electrical grounding system with a battery current and voltage stabilization control unit. The control unit features an electrical charging system and electrical noise filter. The double noise filter smoothes turbulent electrical current, providing a stable and consistent voltage flow to all your vehicles electrical devices. The A'PEX Super Grounding System maximizes the efficiency of all factory vehicle electrical systems, allowing smoother engine operation, more efficient electrical component operation, and improved electrical current. The stylish voltage stabilizer box compliments any engine bay with its attractive case design and ominous backlit A'PEX logo.
- Uses a high capacity Double Condenser and Double Noise Filter - The A'PEX Super Ground System uses a high purity, temperature resistant OFC cable (non-oxidized copper) Copper wire diameter: 0.12mm X 665 utilizes inter-twined wire - Features: increased fuel efficiency, decreased audio static, increased torque response and eliminates drop in power when A/C is in use.

In a grounding system dyno shootout conducted by TPR Magazine, the A'PEX Super Ground System added an amazing 9 wheel horsepower on the B16a powered Honda Del Sol test car! This was by far THE highest gains from any ground system tested in the shoot out. Power gains were seen across the entire RPM spectrum with absolutely no losses at any point.

I had the HKS Circle Earth grounding kit on my WRX, and I felt a pretty distinct difference. The HKS kit also utilized a gold plate with all gold connectors for the best conductivity.

I don't know how much different the other kits such as Apex'i are, but a better ground is always a IMHO.

Yeah that is what I am thinking. Even if I do not gain alot of power with it. It would still be nice to have a nicer connection and have everything running smoother.

Its a waste but if you want "smoother connections" (which is just marketing bs) go for it

The "S" as I was told some time back by Xviper would not benefit from a grounding kit as the "S" is quit well grounded.

Well that good to know. I deinately do not want to waste almost 200 dollars on something that has no benefit what so ever. I could use that towards a custom exhuast. I have one last question about grounding and that is because I came across a T1R coil ground kit? Is that any different than the Apex i? or is it the same BS?

No

Friend of mine had one on his Nissan, dyno'd before and after, saw no gain.

Grounding kits are worth about as much as colored wire loom: they just make your engine bay look "racey" (or ricey, depending on your opinion)

Spend your money elsewhere unless one of the above looks what you're going for.

many times on older cars the connections are just bad to begin with. i dont think that honda would over look output loss from bad grounds. if anything, make your own out of 8ga wire and a power distribution block they use for audio. it should cost around 30 dollars instead and looks nice, i prefer black colored wires but thats just me.

Correct. You can ask any of the guys who really know cars, XViper, Billman, SlowS2k, etc., etc., etc., and they'll all tell you the same thing. Not needed for any car with a good grounding system in good repair and more expensive than a good grounding system should be. However, they DO look very nice and the vast majority of cars at the major shows (HIN, NOPI, etc.) have some kind of fancy grounding kit.
