ApeXi-VAFC II installed on ur s2000?
hi does anyone got a apexi vafc II installed on ur s2000..and have u ever got it tuned or dyno and what are your settings on it?? let me know thanks..cause i just got it installed on my 2005 s2k..please post back w/ the settings !!!
Each car has its specific settings, as no two engines are exactly alike...there has been some research that the VAFC will only work for a few days, then the ECU will compensate. You will need to reset the ECU every so often to see consistent gains. This is the main reason I have not forked out the $ yet for one. The S2000 uses a Manifold Air Pressure sensor instead of a Mass Airflow Sensor. This MAP sensor I believe is downstream from the VAFC, so any VAFC modifications to the air / fuel ratio will be compensated for by the ECU. You can still control the VTEC engagement point (some people lower it into the 5600RPM region). I would not want to lower it too much, because of driveability issues.John

a TON of people have it. You should do some searches. You can lean it out a little bit but don't overdo it, because to run it safely you have to tune it. I would also suggest pulling your ECU fuse once a week so that the overcompensation by the ECU will be gone. Basically, your car's computer will try and undo what the VAFC is doing over time. I reset my computer once a week to give it a fresh restart. If you do this, just let the car idle for a few minutes afterwards to get used to the temperature/humidity outside.

Well yes, it'll do the same thing, but then you have to open the hood, get your hands dirty/dusty from touching the battery wire, and then enter your cd player code. If you pull the fuse, you just get down on your knees and pull a little fuse out of a box under your steering wheel and put it back in 30 seconds later.
