Apex'i VAFC vs Greddy eManage
Hey everyone...
First off, my current mods include I/H/E, test pipe, IK24 sparks, and some other cooling mods. However, I plan on upgrading to a supercharger in the future.
I am wondering the main differences between the eManage and the VAFC. It seems they both do the same thing (air fuel ratios) at similar costs. However, it seems that the eManage system is more designed for Turbos? Why is this? Can the eManage change the Vtec engagement as well? Can these 2 pieces be used together, or do they do the same thing pretty much? Would one be better for my NA application, but the other better when I got FI? Which is easier to tune/adjust? And lastly, wth is the frog harness on the VAFC? Sorry for all of the questions... Any help will be appreciated!
TIA

The Emanage can do VTEC crossover as well -- I'd say that the Emanage is the better option of the two systems if you can get a laptop & the tuning software, which gives you, I think a 60 point fuel curve. (correct me if I'm wrong, long time since I owned the Emanage)
Otherwise you'll be limited to a 5-knobs (5-point) fuel curve on the side.
The main benefit of the VAFC is that you don't need extra support equipment to tap the maximum potential of the unit. But you do for the Emanage, otherwise you get a pretty crappy setup.

I have a regular IBM T43 laptop... Basic Windows operating system. If I install the eManage software onto my laptop, I can then tune the eManage to be more exact or superior to the VAFC? Thank you very much...
Yes, this is correct. Emanage also has harnesses that you can purchase, such as a timing harness to control ignition timing. This is probably overkill in your case. The beauty of the Emanage is that it's very expandable. It is vastly superior to the VAFC.
