Default Appraise This S2000

I'm moving to Puerto Rico. I spent this weekend there with a rental car and there is no way in hell I'm going to bring my S2000 there. The roads are absolutely terrible and people don't give a shit about you or your car. I also don't want to pay $3-5k to import/pay taxes on it. I'd like to know what you all think a reasonable price would be for it? What's the lowest offer I should consider?

2002 S2000 Spa Yellow
* 178,000 miles

* Clean/clear title

* Interior: 8/10
The only notable things on the interior are typical leather wear and the silver on the door handles is rubbing off from normal wear.

* Exterior: 7/10
The front bumper has a bunch of spots of missing paint. Then again, I'm meticulous. The passenger door has some sort of black over spray that I haven't been able to wash off. Other than that, there are a few very minor dings from rocks, assholes opening doors into it, etc... Windshield has a very minor rock chip in the center.

* Convertible works excellent, but the top itself should be replaced soon, there are two small tears in the rear where the bar rubs when it's put up/down, it's only getting worse and the upholstery shop said patching it would be a waste of time as it has all ready been patched and will most likely tear around the new patch.

* Engine: Power is all there. CEL has been on since I bought the car: misfire in all 4 cylinders. Haven't had a chance to get a leak down/compression test.

* Tranny: Excellent.

* Suspension: As it should be.

* Tires: 80%

* Brakes: Good/Installed new pads and steel braided brake lines about 6 months ago.

* Mods: 70mm test pipe / Vacuum delete kit.

* Rims: Minor curb rash.

* A/C does not work. All of the parts are at a friends house and should be installed this week. If not, parts are included with the car. I might not have time to get it done.

I'd say around $6500 $7000

edit: likely a bit less because of the 4 misfires

$6000 on a really good day. A repainted bumper and doing whatever it takes to fix the CEL would probably bump it up to a solid $7500ish.

Maybe 7k if you are lucky and willing to wait for a sucker. You probably won't get more than 6k for it. Please tell me you did not remove the ac system to get "more power". The front bumper looks like you have a hard time judging distances when pulling into parking spots.

I bought it in the condition it's in. I had intentions on painting the bumper, but never got around to it. The CEL came on 2 hours after I bought it. I installed the test pipe and vacuum delete kit to get rid of the sensor and vacuum codes. Dishonest sellers suck. I did not delete the AC, it hasn't worked since I bought it in November.

That's what I was thinking. It drives excellent. I'd keep it, but I really don't want to spend half the value of the car in import taxes. All it really needs is a new bumper, top and someone with some knowledge of what could be causing the misfire. I can't imagine it's anything terrible, the car performs great and doesn't burn oil nearly as bad as any other high mileage ap1 that I've driven.

My guess is that if u have the bumper cleaned up some how ..and install the ac ...get the misfire fixed your car would sell for 7gs plus in no time at all ...if not 6gs is what u should get for it ..no less . Best of luck someone out there is goin to get a grt car for cheap ..hell if u lived close to me I'd even consider buying it ...fixing it and selling it for 8500
Best of luck selling your car
