ARGH! I hate Trucks!
I talked about this to a trucker months ago. He told me that the steering tires up front can't be retreaded and have to be replaced. Also if an outside tire rips theres less worry than an inside, because the inside can rip up the outside.
Either way "they" claim that 50 plus people died or flipped with their Wilderness ATs due to tread seperation. This is/was national news, crisis, bring in congress to sort it out kinda thing. Trucks are losing their treads daily, I'm sure theres numbers out there pointing to accidents cause by or initiated from the loss of truck tire treads. I know they're not going to crack down on their pollution because of economics- blah blah, but this is a serious danger. If not a danger, another pollution of garbage on our roads.
This has nothing to do with the quality of truck drivers out there. I'm just taking issue with the tires!

Chris....I carry two bikes on the back of my stook, longest journey about 40 miles. 1 bike is no problem, 2 seemed to bounce slightly as you drive along. I wish that the ledge of the rear bumper was firmer.
