Default Arh! Hit a curb with my NEW '05 S2k!

So the old lady was talking...blah blah blah, and of course I was 'deeply' listening. I start out from the light making a left turn and I nick the curb with my driver side rear wheel and grind the edge up pretty good. Geeez, I only have 600 miles on this thing.

No body damage (I can't see any) but it did push the car out from its intended path when I was driving. I hope nothing in the rear broke or was bent.

Is it possible to have the wheel repaired and look decent? Is that expensive? Anyone know of any places in the Seattle area? A new wheel is a lot of $$ and I can't leave it how it is.

I've been driving 12 years and never even had an accident (that was my fault at least). I can't believe this.

Just make sure you didn't bend/break anything. Jack it up and take a really good look at the suspension and underbody.

I bent my rear wheel inwards when I smacked into a curb last summer.. and managed to do $6,000 in damage. (no body damage, either)

Hope everything is okay!

I'd jack up the car and shake the suspension a little bit. Listen for any knocking noises or looseness. This is a good way to see if any balls joints were busted (since they are usually the first thing to give in a good suspension hit). I hit a curb a few months back and blew out my lower ball joint. Definately check though, it could lead to worse things down the road.

i hit the curb too with the 04, OEM wheel, which is the same as yours, because of the particular surface finished, they cannot rectify it without it being somewhat noticeable........I had a SSR bent wheel before with previous car and they were able to fix it (without me able to see where the damage was)...........

i know how you feel.....sorry to hear that........

best bet would be to buy a used one off of ebay. theres always someone selling just 1 wheel for some odd reason (make sure its not reconditioned though)

eek. I smacked my Prelude's front passenger wheel into a curb by sliding on black ice last winter. Probably hit doing 20-30km/h, ended up doing $2600 in damage. Car now has a very, very slight vibration in the steering wheel at high speeds (110ish km/h) which it never had before.

Check eBay for the wheel, good chance you'll find one.

http://www.wheels-and-rims.com

Check this place out, they have AP2 wheels brand new for only 255 front and 260 rear. Best prices I have found, not to shabby.

Zeemz, Your link says that they are reconditioned, not new.

I would imagine that a wheel repair shop could fix it? Is there a clearcoat on the AP2 rims?

If I had my own wheel fixed I would estimate it could be done for ~$100??
