Article relating to S2000

Gee, I hope that there will be more aftermarket parts in the future.
Kind of a stream of consciousness rambling more than an essay proper.
More like a generic S2k post than an article.
"Hey guys, do you think there's a magic $20,000 cutoff?"

Thanks for the replies, good stuff. The article points out the trend. Thus far there are no published articles/reports pointing out this fact. I do have the data by the way( in our database) and I did state why the magic number may be $20K.
The article was written to generate more thought, from people like you and to point out a fact at the same time and to give a story so others can relate.
Thanks for the input, our company plans to generate more "public" reports that will be a little more detailed and your input helps.
BTW, I love my S2000, no regrets. I am going to go for a drive now.

No offense but....You go back and forth from past to present tense. Your spell check must be broken. Your train of thought jumps from track to track and when you are steaming ahead you don't make sense. Stick to appraising if you don't plan on putting more work than this into what you write.

actually he is on to something. There is a point where a car picks up interest among younger people, mostly due to affordability. I don't know that point, but $20K is a psychological barrier no doubt. 19,999 seems like a lot less than 20K at first blush (that's why things are priced at X.99; there are many studies that confirm the psychological effects).
Is the "magic number" 20K? Who knows, but it is a good theory. Hell ,the magic number could be anything, but there IS a point where the derivative of demand takes a sharp increase. Part of his argument was when a car falls under the "magic number" it has a higher perceived affordability and thus more demand. The S2000 is a car that young people are extremely interested in, no doubt. If more young people think they can afford it, more will buy it, and when the S2000 hits a saturation point as far as the number or "tuner owners" go, you will see more parts produced.
