Atenna Advice
Well some punks stole my atenna from my car in broad daylight at my work but anyways just curious if anyone has some different aftermarket antennas on their car and would be able to tell me where to buy them. I remeber a member on this board had a link to a shorty atenna in his sig but I cant remember his SN. Anyways if you have pics that would be a bonus. Thanks in advance.
I think the guy with the stubby antenna is in Chicago.
You might ask in the Upper Mid-west forum.
I bought one of the small antennas listed on ebay. While it looked
cool, the reception was crap. OEM gives the best reception.
HandA-accessories.com usually has the OEM for less than $20.

That's the one I bought.

First of all, nothing wrong with the ebay seller. Shipped fast and
even though the email communications were confusing (His English isn't great), I got what I paid for.
Driving around there are times when, for me, the reception would fade.
I live in Hartford, CT. If I lived closer to a major city (Boston/NYC), the antenna might have worked fine. I had times when in rural CT I'd hit the auto tune on the stereo & it would go round and round not finding 1 channel.
Not sure if you'll have a problem in Escondido, but it probably would work fine in San Diego.
For ~$16 (w/ shipping) I took an inexpensive risk.
Caveat Emptor
I've often thought to leave the short antenna on, so someone might steal it and find how ineffective it is. Screw the Thieves!!!!
