Default Attention: S2000 Owner's with the FRONT spoiler!

Just curious, as I placed my order with HandA and expect delivery of a front and rear spoiler for my '02.

Any real issues with the front spoiler? I'm scared to death that I'll scrub the heck out of it! How much lower does it hang down?

Thanks for any feedback. . .

If I send it back, I think I'll settle for the side strakes. . .

The front end ground clearance on the S2 is 5 inches. With the front spoiler it is 4.5 inches. As Bayarea408 mentioned earlier, in order to install the side strakes the body must be drilled into and also has no aerodynamic benefits. Personally the front spoiler was the first upgrade I installed on the car and have no regrets. It gives the front end a "fuller" look. I have yet to scrape the front end and most of the roads I drive on are full of potholes and steep driveways. I just drive at a normal speed around these areas and use an elaborate angle to go up driveways.
In short I highly recommed the front spoiler.

It'll scrape eventually even if you're careful, but it's worth the aggressive look you get out of it. It changes the front view dramatically in my opinion.

Hey, I got my underspoiler from H and A about a month ago and can't wait to put it on. It is going to look awesome!!! Right now it's just sitting in my room waiting for the opportunity. All I need now is a little cooperation from the weather gods and I'll be rollin' on once again. Can't wait. I highly recommend the honda front underspoiler, it just looks amazing. Gives the car a completly different look. Much more aggressive. Hopefully it doesn't scrape too bad, but how much of a difference can half an inch make anyways...

airgate,

it lowers the front by half an inch (if that) as others have mentioned.

my car is lowered about 1.5 inches and the underside STILL looks brand new after 2 years. i'm not sure how or why people feel that it will "constantly" scrape.

the only time i can see it happening is on super-steep driveways...if that.

for everyday driving, it's not even an issue....

do it and forget about it.

enjoy.

reagards.

just don't ever go in or out of a driveway at anything but snail's pace and stay further back in parking spots with curbs or cement stoppers in front. the only time i scrape is when i'm dealing with an unfamiliar driveway - take those with extra caution.

I had one and sold it. The paint match on the Spa Yellow was terrible and it didn't match with my car. Check yours when you receive it. You have to drill a hole in your OEM spoiler to fit the front spoiler though.

I had a few scrapes on mine, but it wasn't an issue. Clearance semed to be fine, even with my car lowered 1.5".

Cheers,

i think side strakes would be the worst idea in the world, stick with the OEM front spoiler, it makes the car look very aggresive and looks WAY WAY better than without it.
