Since honda guy's dyno of the HKS is less than positive, I am will (assuming your offer still stands) to go over to a tuning shop in Mountain View, CA. with my my stock and HKS exhausts and run my car with both

(only other mods on my car: K&N and Comptech Strut bar )

The shop charges $175/hr for "tuning & dyno time", and I would think we could get enough runs in within an hour (might go to 2 if you wanted a really good analysis).

Basicly what I propose is having them put the stock exhaust back on, do 3 runs, then put the HKS back on and do another 3.

That way we can get a REAL look at what the HKS really does, and there will be no speculation like oil, diff etc. as nothing much would change in the 30 minutes it took to change the exhaust out.

Please e-mail me if you are interested.

Wonderful offer. Perhaps run with HKS first, since heat in the engine compartment might lower the hp; I want the HKS to show more power! So hard to get good unbiased data...

Well Gamperio(sp) at MG approved my request. I am making an appointment this week and I will post the results.

THIS is what we need. Same car, same day, same dyno. Anything else is so unscientific as to be laughable. Can't wait for results.

Please record the exact weather conditions (temp/humidity) since you are doing this so scientifically.

Good work!

Could you please isolate the K&N filter from the rest of the mods if you have time? You will need to know how much the K&N is contributing as opposed to the exhaust.

it shouldn't matter... I will dyno w/ the K&N and the stock exhaust, and with the K&N and HKS exhaust.

The Delta between the runs will tell you what the HKS adds (or subtracts).

MG racing isn't paying to a dyno test of the K&N. Besides, there are a couple people who have already dyno'ed the K&N alone
