If your trying to protect the fiberglass Mugen Splitter with another splitter, it's going to be tough if you want it to look nice and still function.
The splitter is so low as it is, by adding another splitter to protect it will make it even lower and the fact that the Mugen is not flat on the bottom it will leave gaps unless you seriously do some CUSTOM modifications to mold to the form of the splitter.
I like the Mugen Splitter also but I decided against it because of it's material.

If you do that it will look like ASS........ GAPS all over the place. In order to stabilize the plate you will have to ruin your splitter which is exactly what your trying NOT to do......

now we just need someone to show us the protector and tell us we are dumb
The only thing I can think of is if you want to use aluminum is to use a very thin grade that is flexible.
Cut the aluminum to it does not protrude in the front but is back about 1/2 inch from the front. Then you can shape the aluminum to the contour of the splitter. Then you can adhese it by using a lot of double stick tape or liquid nails.

best way to protect the mugen spliter is to not buy one and just get the oem 04 one...thats what i did

OEM front lip is oooooooookay
it looks pretty good but nothing special about it
i will take the mugen lip any day over the OEM
