I'm of the opinion that the overall "world" view of N. American drivers is that "we" are not real adept at using mirrors let alone ones that make "things appear farther than they really are". Additional to this, it may be "perceived" by manufacturers that "we" are taught and stressed to "shoulder check" and the driver's side is an easy shoulder check. Having a convex mirror on our driver's side may lead to an increase in "incidents" with legal implications. Otherwise, why would they put that "warning" on our right side mirror when other countries do NOT have such warnings on their convex mirrors? A convex mirror should be no more expensive to make than a flat one.

Guys...sorry for the delay in reply. I'm here in Melbourne and things have been hectic with family commitments.

Anyways, just wanted to let you all know that I am going to find about the mirror in the morning. I will report back my findings at that time.

I'm leaving here on August 1, but there should still be ample time for me to get my hands on a bunch of mirrors once I know pricing and how many need to be ordered.

Cheers,

Sime just FYI... I had to order mine from Japan and even then they are coming in 2 batches. There is very little or no stock in Australia from what my dealer tells me. At the time I placed the bulk order there were supposedly 3 units in Melbourne (which my dealer now has waiting for me here)

Well guys, unfortunately I can't hlp you out. As Muz righly stated, there are no mirrors in Australia right now....they are a two week wait.

The cost to me on the mirror ex tax is $49AUD, about $27 USD. I will have to pay for international shipping to the 'states as I am leaving here before the mirrors get there. UPS quoted $360AUD!!! for a package that would contain 12 mirrors. Then I have to pay shipping from the USA to each buyer....and that's not even considering if I'd have to pay import duties and taxes on the mirrors when they got into the 'states.

Honestly, it's just not worth it! I stand to lose money on this initiative.

The best option is to get one from Muz, or go to Hondarec and pay the $42USD.

Sorry, I tried.
