Don't know whether I am sorry or glad to have missed the ride now that the chip stories are coming in. Continental Cars (Mercedes dealer)on airport is also the paint and body shop for First Texas Honda. I've used them before with other cars and always been happy. I also know that they have repainted several S2K's.

If they are still around, stay away from Body-Tek!

I pick up chips on every trip and event and won't fix them right away since I will get more. Maybe after a few years I will consider a 'freshening' of the finish.

Consider carefully before getting into the

there's a great place up on north lamar - just north of 183 - small shop, they do excellent work, unfortunatley so excellent it might take a while to get in. I cannot remember the name of the place, but I will say this - its on the right side of the road (going north), and if you go more than 1/2 a mile north of 183, or even hit the first light, then you've gone too far.

Schatten is having a hard time with his dialup connection, but he told me to make note that the body shop he mentioned is called Nova...

I've used Custom Car Crafters on McNeil w/ great results...they re-sprayed the nose of my Supra before I bought it for the same reason, then did the hood, left fender, and left door to repair a leaky battery that occurred during one of my test drive weekends prior to buying it (that really sucked!). They also repainted my neighbor's seat cowl on his Gixxer 600. All work has been top-notch. They seem to do a lot of high-end and custom cars.

Continental fixed my buddies rock chip marks on his V6. Can't even tell. They even repaired some he got later for free. Highly recommended.
How did you get rocked if you were in the lead?

I've taken my former car to California Customs on Research. They specialize in high quality painting for the greatest of cars...

I also hear Fix a Wreck (Lamar) and Ellis and Salazar (183) do good body/paint work.
