Sounds like total BS to me. I read the front page and there's no mention of HOW it works.

The patent was an interesting read though made me re-consider. I'm not really convinced this is better than just changing the oil every 3500 miles.

It does work, but it is needed when you have an engine that has seen years of the wrong oil, or when you are concerned about ring issues. I did it on a 200,000 Mile porsche engine and it really cleaned it up.

"The cleaning compositions comprise a synthetic ester of a naturally occurring fatty acid, such as lanolin fatty acid, tall oil fatty acid, tallow fatty acid, coconut oil fatty acid or the like, . . . "

Sounds like a combination of a good body lotion and Pina Colada for the car.

After reading all the patent data it appears plain old Lanolin is the main ingredient.

Stuff works pretty well, I used it on my S2 when I first got it at 33,000 miles. No catastrophic damage done to my engine. Just did a Used Oil Analysis 10,000 miles later here:

And as you can see things are wearing normally. If you read on the BobIsTheOilGuy.com forums folks use and are pleased with it. I'd definitely use it again, even with the high price tag (24 bucks for a 12oz bottle).

I've also used this on my '98 Integra with 80,000 miles. The engine was in good shape to begin with, but even at 90,000 miles it's compression in each cylinder was 190psi +/-2 and burned no oil. I'd definitely say it'd be better to use it on a higher mileage engine or one that you're unsure of its history.

I've not checked the compression in the S2 yet, but it barely burns oil even while racing.
