Default AutoCross?

I see a lot of mention of Autocrossing mentioned on the US forums and suspect it may mean something different to what we consider AutoCrossing over here in Euroland.

Please correct me if I'm wrong here but I can't imagine the S being used for the type of Autocrossing that I'm thinking of :-

^^^ Yeah, we dont do all the crazy spinning and going backwards through gates and stuff... its strickly a short course set out that you get through as fast as you can. Think of it like a time trial but in a parking lot full of cones, where top speeds generally dont get much over 60MPH (about 100Km/h).
