Automatic....uggghhhh!!!
Ok, I'm reading the Honda newsgroup alt.honda and there's this post:
"Does anyone have the release date for the new S2000? I was talking to a local dealer hoping to get a inside line on the new models..ie, features, specs, etc...the only thing I could get out of him was that the new models can be equipt with automatic (yeah)...finally a small sports car with power and an automatic."

The idea of an automatic goes against everything this car stands for, but I think it's possible Honda would do it if the demand was high enough, or if they couldn't sell the manual...two factors that will never come to light.

Maybe they want to sell the car to more women. A lot of them have told me they like the S2000 but don't want it because it doesn't come with an auto.
True sports cars shouldn't be watered down with automatics, but you know the world is changing when Porsche offers the Turbo with a Tiptronic. Damn people these days, want to drive nice, fast cars but won't bother to learn how to use a manual transmission.

) if the S2000 was offered in automatic.
