Default autometer vs. SOS A-piller gauge pods

Hey guys, I've tried searching for the past 20minutes and came up with nothing. I am ready to purchase an a-piller pod to place 2 gauges in. I'm not sure which to get. I can get the Autometer for $55 without shipping and the SOS for 70 + 10 Shipping. I just wondering from those who have them what they think about them. And I'd like to see pictures. That was the main thing I was searching for. Perferebly close up...

Thanks

I have the SOS. It's a pretty good fit except it has no side window heater vent holes (made my own).
Here's a thread with my install using Autometer gauges:

Here's one of a friend's using Defi gauges:

As you can see, the color is not a perfect match, but not bad.

I have the autometer pod. It has a cut out for the defroster that the SOS pod lacks. I bought it used, as I do with many of the items I have on my car, so price was a driving factor for me. I think both fit as well as the other.

So fit, color, installation are all good with the autometer? Just want to make sure before I go ahead and buy it.

And I decided to with a Defi D-Series (electric gauge, black face, amber lighting, silver bezel, and no controll unit needed) Oil Pressure gauge to compliment my AEM UEGO WB O2 gauge. I'll get some pics up when I finish with it. I just posted this thread because I found that I can get free shipping on orders over $200 from this one site and for the Defi Gauge and Autometer Pod its only 225. If I went with SOS it would be more like 260-270 (actually more like 40 dollar difference)

I have them both and Autometer comes MUCH closer to the OEM look and color. SOS looks like faded plus you will have to cut. Autometer any time of the day for me.

BTW> where are you getting the Defis from? How come they don't need a control unit?I like that so please share some info.

Link To Defi-D gauge

Here is Defi's site...it took me a while to find them, but when I did, I realized it was exactly what I wanted, these ones are then cool ones that go opaque black or anything. Just like a normal gauge, but IMO they will match PERFECTLY with the stock cluster, I like to keep stuff matching. It will also match the UEGO guage decently with the black face and silver bezel. I'm not entirely sure why it doesn't need the control unit, I think it is just because it is defi's lower end. I can be attached to the control unit, but doesn't need it to run. Umm, lastly, that black bezel on the outside with the little arrow is removable, it is there to rotate and put the arrow at like your peak or average, but can be removed.

Here is where I'm getting it all from
