Automobile Magazine Convertible Shootout
These people have to make up silly S#)^ from time to time, just to keep people's interests in the magazine. They ran out of good things to say about the car so now they are drumming up other comments.
It's all BS.
It's all BS.
I have the article here by the computer..... these are direct quotations from the article written by Sam Mitani, International Editor for Road and Track Magazine. It is Volume 54, Number 12.
Handling:
" Driving at 7/10's, there is no better car around. but go to the racetrack and the S2000 becomes an unpredictable animal..."
"When approaching the limit, the honda initially pushes, but get a little too trigger happy and the rear end kicks out..."
"At the racetrack, it was the 350Z Roadster that took the day. It was more than a second faster than the Honda (1:37:70). But the Honda outshined the Nissan on the public roads where most of u s do our spirited driving.....call this one even."
Power:
".....both Simanatis and I favored the Z's engine here because we prefer a fistful of low end torque over high revs."
Comfort:
"Simply put, the Nissan 350Z Roadster is one of the mnost comfortable roadsters around today....."
"Within the S2000's cabin at 80, you feel as if you're in the middle of a mini typhoonl the air whips around you in all direcitons, as you instinctively reach for the volume control of the stero system. You'll have to crank it up all the way because the combination of wind and engine noise blocks out virtually every other sound from within the car......"
"The Honda also has a wind deflector, but it's not as effective as the one in the 350Z....."
Styling: (paraphrase)
in a nutshell they prefered the S2000 for it's stout athletic look.
i would scan the article if it weren't against your "copyrighting" policy....I provided the dislikes of the writer as you all can recite ad nasueum the things they did like about it.
