AutoWeek - November 2, 1998
I just obtained the November 2, 1998 issue of AutoWeek, which has one of the earliest articles that I have seen on the S2000.
It also has one of the earliest references to the following nonsense:
"Honda plans only one generation, which means 12,000 vehicles a year for maybe four to six years. Of these 12,000 units, 5000 will be sold through American Honda dealers."
I thought that some of you might find this amusing.
Sorry, I cannot scan and will not fax the article.

The salespeople still use the"...and only 5000 of these will be made." line. At the L.A. auto show, few months ago was when I last heard this.
This is however still a car you don't see to much on the road. The level of exclusiveness is one of the reasons I bought the car.
I now see more 350z's than S2000's on the road!
