Im seriously considering doing what Ive always wanted to do since I 1st got my S2k, and do an engine swap. Im trying to get a basic price idea of what I can get by selling off the stock components. I did a quick search both on here and Ebay, and it seems like I could realistically get between $4-5k for my stock engine+trans (35k miles, 2002, runs great, shifts smooth, no issues). Does that sound about right? Also, how much do stock rear ends and axles sell for? Thanks for any help.

Thanks. Has anyone recently bought or sold and engine/trans? I know it isnt that big of a deal , but I dont want to give it away for far less than I could get for it... just looking for what others have paid or sold for for a package with this milage. Thanks again

I'm sure some people will flame you... but I'm curious as to what engine you will put in there instead?

 

Planning on an LS2 + T56 swap. Flame away, I dont really care . My previous car was a 94 Rx-7 that had undergone the same. I need to take some measurements before I get serious just to make sure everything will fit and line up correctly, but I dont forsee any problems.

 

would you be willing to sell just the tranny? =)

 

Possibly, Ill decide that when its time to sell. For now I was just trying to plan out everything.
