Default Back again

I found myself craving another S2000 once again, personally I blame Gran Turismo 5...It has been 4 years since I departed MY03 sebring silver. My last two S2000 was AP1 and this time I decided to give AP2 a try. I guess the reason for me to chosen the AP2 was the practicality on the streets. The torque curve had improved which was a big plus but it was not as exciting up to the redline compare to AP1. One thing I noticed was the the exhaust tone in my AP2 seems louder then usual, I assured that no mod had been done to my used AP2 with 36,000 when purchased. Does anyone also noticed the exhaust tone on AP2 is louder then AP1?...also Honda dealer had given me a quote for a Hard top for $5000 they told me the reason for the price increase was because all Hard top had been discontinued, is it true??

That is a high price for a hard top..There are still after markets at a good price or used at a great price as well.As for exhaust noise they are about the same to me..I used to have a 2002 sebring silver S2000 and sold it a year ago.Missed it very much..I ended up buying a 2006 suzuka blue..I love the torque on the 2006 and thats about it.I miss my 2002 very much as it seemed more conected and the 9k was great as well.I find myself allready looking for another AP1 to pick up and mod.I dont even want to mod the 06 as i am not a fan of the drive by wire and the numb feeling it gives or vsa.If i wanted traction control i would have bought a suv or something

I'm surprised they can find a hardtop for your colour, but if they can the price should not be any different, mrsp on accessories should not change just based on supply. Look elsewhere.

The only ap2 exhaust that would be louder is the CR, otherwise it is basically the same exhaust between ap1 and ap2.

Seibon CF hardtop can be had for just over $3k

Honda greatly improved upon the AP2 exhaust...the tone is noticeable in stock form.

AP1 and AP2, same exhaust.

However, AP2 have a deeper (feel stronger) sound because of the increased displacement.

You should also notice the stronger "kick" at start-up.
