Default Back in black, 2006 black!

I have another thread running about whether I SHOULD buy it, big mistake.

I knew I was going to buy it anyway, don't know why I bothered asking.

I got a BB 2006 with 176XX miles on it. The car didn't even have swirl marks which is amazing with a black car, and the top looked new. by new I mean the top had ZERO wear on it, the engine looked unmolested.

The only issue I have is that for some idiotic reason the dealership replaced ONE back tire and left the other 3 pretty worn. I'd guess they have 7k miles left on them, I'm considering just buying one new rear to match them up in the back and buying new fronts later in the summer. At least they got the right RE050 on the back so it's not too horrible.

I nagged them down quite a bit because of the tire thing, so I guess I shouldn't complain.

I may have overpaid a tad, but in this area there where a lot of older ones with double the miles selling for 20-22k, I paid 20k.

At least I can now avoid the shame of altima 2.5 driving

The dealership was pretty cool at least. I still had my aftermarket stereo in the altima, and the factory in the trunk. I asked if I could swap them out, and they said if you know how to do it, go for it. They handed me a screw driver , put the car in their garage, and I had it out in 20 minutes flat

Well, I'm on my 3rd s2k now . I'm have no plans for supercharging for until late next year or the following spring.

Ok, all done.

Congrats, we all knew you would. Replace that rear tire asap!! Car will be pulling to one side. Can't help wondering if the diff had a problem since only one tire needed replacement? Maybe it was unloading to that corner for some reason. Also surprised a DEALER would replace just one tire on our car, surely they know how sensitive it is to tires?? Scary stuff... anyway...

Sounds like a good enough example, and as for paying too much, consider that I just paid $30k for a 2001 with 60k miles on it (Greece), and I got a bargain! lol.

Hehe, ya... From what I understand the tire that got replaced was because of a nail in the sidewall. The 3 other tires all have even wear, so I don't think there's an alignment issue or diff issue.

I'm ordering a replacement today for the other tire and having it sent to my favorite shop.

i got my 2005 bb with 22,000 miles last nov for 18,500 so what you paid is consistant with age/milage.

I knew you wouldn't be able to hold back. I just can't believe it was just a day or two when you were contemplating if you should get one or not. LOL. Well, definitely a good time to buy before the prices go back up as it gets closer to summer. Enjoy and drive safe.

I'd been looking at it for a couple of weeks, but I was waffling between the s2k and 2007 g35 sedan. I just knew that if I got the sedan I'd be thinking about the s2k all the time. I could care less about the sedan though

These cars are tire sensitive..., I would only replace in two's. Get two rears right away.

Already placed the order, the other tire has 70 miles on it so I'm not going to worry about replacing it
